Current Sermon

Storms Never Last Forever

The sermon was based on readings from Genesis 6:13–14, Acts 27:13–38, 31, and 2 Corinthians 9:8, with Hebrews 13:5 as a supporting verse. It began with the reminder that Luke wrote the Book of Acts. The preacher emphasized that storms in life do not last forever. Every challenge, no matter how sudden or overwhelming, eventually comes to an end because God is always in control. When God pushes us, it is because He knows we can handle it. He trusts our strength, not because of who we are, but because of who He is in us.

From Acts 27:37, we are encouraged to “stay in the ship,” meaning we should remain steadfast in God’s presence, in His church, and in our faith. No matter how fierce the storm becomes, safety lies in obedience and trust in God. Obedience, the preacher said, opens doors of safety and divine protection. When we follow God’s instructions, He guides us through the chaos and calms the winds around us.

God always comes at the right time—never too early and never too late. Sometimes storms appear suddenly, but even then, God saves us from them all. He renews our days and gives us fresh beginnings. The preacher reminded us that God can never be mocked; His promises always stand true. Storms are not final; a new dawn always follows. God will always renew us after everything is said and done, and no storm can ever separate us from His love. Through every trial, He keeps His promises and brings us safely through to the other side.

In conclusion, the message called us to have hope in God, to walk in obedience that leads to safety, and to find peace in God’s presence. No matter how strong the storm may seem, it will pass, because storms never last forever.
